How does the Juliet treatment work?
The Juliet laser treatment improves women gynecological health thanks to a minimally invasive treatment whose goal is the stimulation of new collagen and elastic production, along with an improved vascularization of the vaginal mucous. Similarly, to the procedure used for facial rejuvenation, the Juliet laser treatment uses light energy to gently deliver energy to the tissue and stimulate it to produce new collagen. The special Erbium: YAG wavelength used for the treatment allows for reaching the sub-mucosal layers (lamina propria), rich in collagen that can be stimulated “selectively”, meaning with no damage to the surrounding tissue.
How is the Juliet treatment performed?

IS THERE DOWNTIME WITH THIS TREATMENT?
Not really. Treatment can be done on a lunch break or after work and patients can return to normal activities right away. It is recommended to avoid sauna use and bathing or swimming for a few days after treatment. Occasionally, patients may feel light cramping or very slight discomfort. If there is any discomfort, it is usually described as “feeling like I had something done”. This is because the tissue has been ablated and is initiating healing phases, which include inflammation. Inflammation is intentionally initiated by the laser to cause tissue growth and increase the health of the tissue. Advil or Tylenol work great to deal with any discomfort during healing. Some spotting consisting of the ablated tissue may be discharged from the area. A panty liner may be used to deal with this. All of this, if any occurs, will disappear within days after treatment.
WHEN CAN I RESUME SEXUAL INTERCOURSE AFTER TREATMENT?
Patients are required to abstain from sexual intercourse for 3 days post procedure. This is to allow the tissue to heal and to prevent infection. After 3 days, sexual intercourse is encouraged.
